Vase Kikutchi Matsutake
Description
Tobo Matsutake Kikuchi Gama
Koya Shochiku opened his kiln in Kikuchi in 1976. He specializes in oxblood and celadon glazes.
He does not participate in any exhibitions, and his ceramics can only be acquired by returning them to him. His pieces are therefore rare on the market.
It mainly produces ceramics for the tea ceremony, as well as some larger pieces such as vases.
This uniquely shaped vase is covered with a matte celadon glaze on the outside and a glossy oxblood glaze on the inside, demonstrating great technical mastery.
